Bloboats is a lot like the Super Mario games… if Super Mario was a boat, the Mushroom Kingdom suffered from an acute case of global warming, and all Goombas evolved into weird squid monster things. Also, because wheels are for suckers, you can totally roll around on land. It can be a little difficult to get the hang of the boat sometimes, but I guess that’s part of the whole “simulation” thing, isn’t it? Overall it’s a very charming little game, and I command you to check it out.

Rigs of Rods is what happens when math and programming geeks get dirty. Starting out as an off-road driving simulation with damage morphing, RoR now also packs in fully interactive trucks, boats and airplanes, and a community that keeps adding more and more unique vehicles and environments to the game. It’s like playing with toy trains, except you’re driving cool vehicles that don’t need no stinkin’ tracks. Sure, sometimes you can find challenges within the maps, time trials and such, but this game really only exists so you can smash big trucks into each other. It does it real well too.

Toribash is an experience in itself. YouTube is full of videos that can explain the game way better than I ever could, but the only way to really understand it is to play it. I could sum it up as “what if your karate chop action figure could do a lot more than just karate chop, and you had two of them and they were also acrobats and were fighting on the moon? Oh, and they bleed.” but that would still not do it justice. It’s a bit hard to get the hang of and it’s pretty much useless if you don’t have someone to play it with, but when the stars align so do knees and crotches to create CONTROLLABLE RAGDOLL MADNESS.
Play it, love it, then realize the next morning that you are still playing it.
Did I mention you can pull of your own head and kick it towards your opponent? Yeah, you totally can.

Stunt playground is like a cute little Stuntman, except free of course. Another showcase for the Newton Game Dynamics physics engine, stuntman allows you to choose from a variety of cars to drive and jump around with and, best of all, has a fully function level editor that will have you creating challenges for yourself and your friends in no time. Crashing cars is always fun (except in real life, of course!).
